The joint venture of NTPC and BHEL , NTPC-BHEL Power Projects Pvt Limited will commence the operations in next financial year.
The joint venture has received from NTPC and BHEL at the time of incorporation in April 2008. The new entity would manufacture equipment such as transformers, switchgears, meters and automation systems in Andhra Pradesh.
At present, the joint venture has four orders in hand. The first order is to supply equipment for the 100 MW Namrup Power Station in Assam, the second order is to supply equipment for 726 MW combined cycle power plant Palatana of ONGC Tripura Power Corporation.
It has been awarded to commission two thermal power plants, one at the capacity of 500 MW at Singrauli and the other at the capacity of 600 MW at Andhra Pradesh.
The firm said in a filing with BSE, the Joint venture would take care of EPC contract of Power plants and other Infrastructure projects
